Cat is a storyteller at heart. She creates wedding photos and films in an editorial, story-telling fashion. Her background is as a newspaper and magazine photojournalist, writer and video producer. She launched her Vermont wedding photography business in 2005 and has been a Vermont wedding photographer since 2011. Her documentary-style approach captures your story honestly. Her free-spirited photojournalism is colorful, creative and fun.
In her day-to-day life, Cat really doesn't go anywhere without her camera. She is both a romantic and a nostalgic--kind of a magic bullet for a wedding photojournalist.
Cat's wedding photojournalism has been featured on national blogs like Wedding Chicks, The Knot, Bridal Guide, Offbeat Bride, and Rustic Wedding Chic as well as magazines like Vermont Bride Magazine and Vermont Vows.
Her bi-coastal career began in NYC and led her to San Francisco. Cat had a weekly street fashion photo-column in New York Press, was a newspaper photojournalist for amNewYork, TimesLedger Newspapers and Half Moon Bay Review, and was a magazine writer and photographer for Half Moon Bay Magazine and Pacifica Magazine in SF Bay Area. She was awarded "Photographer of the Year" by the New York Press Association and "Best Feature Photography" by the California Better Newspapers Association for her work as a staff newspaper photographer.
Cat graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2002 with a BA in English, studied photojournalism at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA, and earned her Master’s degree in Multimedia Communications with an emphasis on video journalism from Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2011.
She lives in South Burlington, Vermont, with her husband, Artist Ross Sheehan, and their kids, Remy and Bo. She is originally from New Hampshire and grew up on Lake Winnipesaukee. She serves the entire state of Vermont as a wedding photographer and wedding videographer and will travel throughout New England and New York.

I'm over the moon to announce that my favorite person in the world—Artist Ross Sheehan—is teaming up with me to document weddings in 2021! Going forward, all new wedding photography and wedding video packages will now include a second shooter.
Ross graduates this July with his MFA in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Fine Arts where he focused on photography and filmmaking. His film, "A Different Place, Altogether," was selected for the 2020 Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival and will screen this summer at the Vermont film festival.
Ross earned his undergraduate BFA degree from Syracuse University in Illustration with a concentration on painting and printmaking. He has exhibited his art extensively throughout Vermont, NYC and San Francisco. His art is part of many private and several institutional collections nationwide. He has been a finalist for the annual Seven Days Awards "Best Visual Artist" in the state of Vermont for four years running.
