‘Mr. Ross’ School + Camp’ was born unexpectedly on Wednesday March 18th.

“Daddy is the teacher and mommy is the sub….and school counselor,” said Remy.

Mr. Ross had a rough first day. He had spent the night before in the hospital after having a planned surgery. What wasn’t planned is that it would be during the middle of a pandemic. I had spent the two days in the hospital as well obsessively using hand-sanitizer and pacing.

The kids had stayed at home both days with Nana.

Ross created a loose curriculum the first week that largely involved enlisting the kids to help him plant seeds. He was expanding his garden this year to cut down on going to the grocery store.

The second week was much easier when we picked up Remy’s first grade packet fully set for distance learning.
